Annabelle Leigh's Vacation East Room

My Mom told me that she was going to turn one of the guest rooms in her house into a nursery for the baby. "Aww", I thought "that sounds cute." And then I saw the room and nearly died!! Nanny and Grandpa created the most gorgeous little girl's room I have EVER seen! I can't believe this poor child has a crib in the corner of our bedroom at her house and she has THIS at her Nanny and Grandpa's house haha!

Let the spoiling begin....

NY Shaow

Hi everyone. I can't believe I haven't posted about my NY Baby Shower yet! It was beyond amazing. A Blog and pics won't even do justice to the all the work my mom and sisters did. Mom and the girls set EVERYTHING up at my Mom's house while I took the train out there with Kara, Soph and Bryan.

When we walked in I immediately started crying of course. Mom had hung a clothesline in the living room window with a million little baby outfits and shoes and hats hanging from it. I wanted to keep it up forever it was soooooo cute!!!

Then I really started crying when I saw the bedding that my sister Cindy sewed BY HAND for the baby's crib at Nanny's house. She used some eyelet material from LouAnn that is 30 years old and gorgeous, and tied little pink bows on too. SO ADORABLE.

All of my family and friends were there and the house looked like pink exploded in it. HA it was awesome! Annabelle hershey bars, pink cupcakes and so much yummy food. This shower was waaaaaay more fun than the bridal shower ha.

Jon and I got SO many gifts, I think I was opening presents for 3 hours. We can't thank everyone enough for how generous you all are. Now we just have to find a place to put all of this in our one bedroom apartment!! :)

7 months update

Hello all Moore Baby Blog followers. It's been a while since we've posted anything so lots to catch up on. I don't have a camera right now so that's why my posts have been slow. I just stole a bunch of pics from my mom so here we go!

We had our baby shower in Georgia about a month ago and it was WONDERFUL. All of GG's friends threw us ANOTHER shower even though they just had a wedding shower for us a year ago. They are so sweet and we just LOVE our extended family in GA. GG got to see my prego belly for the first time and we went shopping to this adorable baby store where we picked out Annabelle's coming home outfit!!! It is to die for.

Oh so there is a big update for you right there. We are naming our daughter Annabelle. Isn't it sweet? (Thanks Skibs ;) We are still on the hunt for a middle name. Annabelle Rae Moore.. Annabelle Rose Moore.. Annabelle Scarlet?? We just don't know yet.

Here are some great pics from the GA shower.. NY shower is next weekend! So stay tuned. We love you all! 83 days and counting...

Would you like a seat? YES!

Well it's official. I am almost 22 weeks pregnant and I now actually LOOK pregnant. Tonight is the first time someone offered me a seat on the train! It's a big first for me.. I've been waiting for it ..ha!
She was a very sweet woman with heels on so I said no thank you but it was still nice to finally get an offer. Now if only men would learn from their more compassionate counter-parts.

I'm pregnant.. and I look it. :)

Annabelle has been kicking up a STORM lately. I ate some spicy jalepeno chicken sausage last night and she was doing the Mexican jumpin bean in there. Jon felt it and he was like WOAH. ha.. off to go eat now and see how she likes pierogies.

xoxo

Neenie will get me Big Bird Sneakers!

From the time I was born my Aunt Regina spoiled me every minute of everyday. She was my favorite aunt, my godmother, my Neenie. She STILL is and STILL spoils me everyday ha. My father always tells me that when I was about 3 months old he had to lock her out of the house because she kept bringing presents and they just couldnt fit anymore. She got in anyway..and the presents too. She bought me my first day of school outfit EVERY year and my lunch box too. Took me out shopping and I could pick whatever I wanted. I still remember picking out my Menudo lunch box in kindergarden.

When I was about 5 years old I think, my mom took me shopping for new shoes. I wanted to get these sneakers that had Big Bird on them and velcro straps. They were awesome. But my mom wanted me to have good shoes that would last and be more practical. I was not very happy. So when we got home I called Neenie immediately and reported the news to her. "Neenie!" I said "I waaaaaaaaaant Big Bird sneakers".
And of course I had them by the next day.

HA! My Aunt Regina has told me that story 10923012938 times in my life and I love it. When I found out I was pregnant my Mom called Aunt Regina and left her a voice mail "I have some news for you, call me back.. but you better start shopping for Big Bird sneakers" Neenie knew exactly what she meant and FLIPPED out! So excited.

Now I didnt think Big Bird sneakers even existed anymore... but leave it to Neenie to find them. We had lunch at her house yesterday and look what the baby got. OMG SO CUTE!!!! I can NOT wait to put these on those little feet! Love you Neenie!

Baby at 12 weeks, Momma at 15 weeks

Hi everyone. So yeah we are not so great at keeping up with our blog but we have some updates for ya. We have GREAT pictures from the sonogram at 12 weeks. I got to see the baby kicking its little legs and arms around and even doing flips. No wonder I'm still nauseaous.. this baby doesn't sit still. Sounds like the apple didn't fall far from Daddy's tree ;)
The appointment was at the imaging center at NY Methodist Hospital. This hospital is awesome and I am SOOO excited that I get to deliver there. It's clean and beautiful and everyone there from the janitors to the doctors are so nice. But the best part is that it's 7 blocks from our house AND.. the baby's GG, Miss Cheryl Ann Moore, was born there too! Can you believe how cute that is? Baby and Grandmother born in the same hospital over 60 years apart! Maybe we'll even be in the same room ha.

Check out the pics from the 12 week ultrasound. You can see the baby's spine, brain and little toes. And Jon is convince you can see a penis but I'm not sure yet. ;)

And here's a pic of me.. Momma at 15 1/2 weeks. The belly is definitely getting bigger now!!

Blessed!!!

I'm elated and finally happy to build my own family with the love of my life. I can't explain how happy I am to someday soon be a Dad to someone. It was a tad bit unexpected and it took me about a full 7 days to really let it all seep in. But it did and since then I see the world in a whole new way. I'm excited that Tara and I are not too young or too to really still be able to take advantage of all the things to come. We'll have the energy still to keep up with the "Lil guy"! I'll be 45 when my kid is 15, I hangout with 45 year old dudes in Park Slope from time to time at the corner bar or whatnot, and they still seem up to date on things people should be up to date on things with. Not that 45 is old but I never really thought about it in terms of having children in your life. Everything happens for a reason and is meant to. I've always believed that and always will for that matter. I'm just so thankful to be blessed with the best woman on planet earth, and that she puts up with me enough to want to start a family with me. I can't wait till January 2010.

The Monkey and Geooooge

Monday June 8th, 2009

When Jonathan was a just a little tike he wouldn't go anywhere with his Curious George. His Mom always told me about this George and how one day she would give it to her grandbaby. I can't believe that time is actually here now!!!

GG dug around and searched and found that George (almost 30 years old now). She sent us the SWEETEST poem and the most adorable outfit. Jon is just beside himself to be reunited with George haha. And check out the shoes!

First here's the Sweet Poem from GG..

AWWW - so cute right!

So I get home from work tonight and I know Jon's not home but the TV is blasting and I'm like "What's going ON in here!?"

I look over at that couch and this is what I see...

HAHAH for real! GG dressed up George so Jonnie dressed up Monkey (like he does) and they are hanging out together watching TV. Note the remote control please.

And check out the skull slip ons!!! OMG we LOVE GG!

Spoil Me (Johnny) Rotten

Saturday June 6th, 2009

We all know how loved this baby is going to be, but do you all know how SPOILED he or she will be too! The gifts are starting to roll in and we LOVE that for every bunny and duck that shows up, something black with a skull and crossbones also arrives. PERFECT!!

Check out our first combo from Aunt Cathy and Uncle Ronnie. We just ADORE this.. does it get any cuter!?

Oh it keeps going.. Look what Daddy picked up for his pride and joy today at the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame..to go with the shoes, of course.

Tonight we are going to see Daddy's band play for the first time. They were amazing and he even dedicated a song to us :) Can't wait till we can put the kid in these outfits and really take him/her to the show!!!

Ovah the Rivah and To the Woods.. Nanny and Pop Woods

Saturday May 30th, 2009

We now have a queasy Mommy and a Daddy that needs oxygen to be able to stand up without fainting from the impending pressures! We had a GREAT visit from Grandpa Bobio and Tooyoungtobeagrandma Jo the night before. Grampa gave Jonnie some helpful tips and made him feel more at ease that everything would be OK.
Even though they kept me out way too late (past 11pm what! ;) we had a fantastic time. It's so much fun to see how excited Grampa is!

We head out to Nanny and Pop's for a BBQ and a weekend of pampering! We are inundated with gifts and food and LOVE. The baby already loves going to Nanny's house and it's only going to get better.

Here is where we got our first pics of the belly and the proud parents to be. And we also got our favorite FIRST - black high top converse!!

xoxo

Prego!!... It's in There

Wednesday, May 27th 2009

I'm 10 days late.. I'm never 10 days late, so Jonnie says - Time for an EPT. The test and Jonnie are waiting for me when I get home from work.

Jon - "How long does it take to register?"
Tara - "About 3 minutes"
Jon - "It already says PREGNANT!"
Tara - "No it doesnt.. let me see"
Jon - "Yeah umm, maybe it's not done yet. Maybe the NOT will pop up in a minute or two"

HAHAH I know it won't but I let him keep going back to check every 3 or 4 minutes.
We call our Moms and FREAK them out. They are THRILLED and crying and can't believe it.
We are freaking out too. We're scared and excited and just trying to soak it all in.

We're having a BABY :) :)
